AEW Pilot and Site Announcement

Good morning Internet. 80s Baby has been dormant for awhile. I’ll comment on that in a moment, but first I’d like to mention that I wrote a pilot for an AEW cartoon. My inspiration for it came straight out of the mid-1980s. When I was an actual 80s Baby I was a huge fan of Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling. The show helped turn me into a wrestling fan. After years away from watching, my love for it was rekindled through All Elite Wrestling. I thought that if AEW did a cartoon it could inspire kids to start watching wrestling much like Rock ‘n’ Wrestling did for me, so I wrote a pilot episode (I wrote about this idea previously). I don’t have an agent or anything, so instead I’m making the pilot available for people to read for anybody who’d like to check it out. You can read it at the end of this post.

As for the site announcement, beginning soon I will start putting articles up again. It won’t be on a set schedule but I will try to update once a week. I’ve decided that initially my focus is going to be latter day Simpsons episode recaps. Like most people around the age of 40, I experienced the Simpsons as a cultural phenomenon and drifted away from them in the late 1990s. I’m going to give the 2010 Simpsons a shot, because what else do I have to do? It’s not like leaving the apartment is an option.
